Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga (Mysore style) & Therapeutic Yoga
I'm christine. I've practiced yoga for many years, and began Ashtanga Vinyasa in 2016. In 2018 I met Geoff MacKenzie and started practicing at First Light Yoga. I completed my 300-hour Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training in 2022, then went on to assist and teach at First Light through 2026. Today I teach Ashtanga Vinyasa in the Mysore style alongside therapeutic yoga, and I'm completing my Diploma in Yoga Therapy at Ajna Yoga College.

Kind words
A few reflections from people who practice at the shala.
“Christine is a lovely teacher. Gentle, kind and a wealth of information. Her adjustments are wonderful.”
“I began practicing Ashtanga with Christine about a year ago. She teaches the person in front of her, adjusting to what my body needs that day. A year on, I've gone from struggling with the basics to a steady headstand, built slowly and safely, one patient step at a time.”
“Christine is always welcoming and supportive. She holds the space for her students and supports each of us individually. It's a great way to start the day, coming to the shala and practicing together with like-minded people.”
“Thank you for your skill, patience, and support in helping me work through my injuries so I could keep training for my marathon. It truly made a difference.”
